Challenge: Avoiding Financial Losses from Delayed Vertical Turbine Pumps
An oil and gas producer operating a liquids hub in the Fort St. John area faced large potential financial losses due to the late delivery of critical vertical turbine shipping pumps. They sought an interim solution to allow them to ship product.
Westpower’s Solution: Remanufactured Pumps Delivered in Seven Weeks
Westpower worked with this producer to identify viable solutions using surplus remanufactured pumps. Used Vertical Inline (API type OH4) pumps were found that with modification and refurbishment would be suitable replacements. The pumps and mechanical seals were inspected, re-rated, and repaired to as-new condition. New plan 52 flush systems were sourced, and the refurbished pumps were modified to mount to the clients existing motors. The whole process from scoping to delivery happened in the span of just seven weeks.
Westpower then assisted with the on-site commissioning, allowing the site to be functional for the Client’s contractual shipping requirements.
