Westpower 2026 Charity Pig Roast: $89,671 raised for CP Kids and Families Foundation

October 14, 2026

We are proud to announce that the 2026 Westpower Charity Pig Roast raised $89,671 in support of CP Kids & Families, surpassing this year’s fundraising goal and continuing a tradition of giving back that has become a highlight of the year for our community.

A Night of Community, Celebration, and Giving

On Friday, September 25, customers, suppliers, industry partners, employees, friends, and family gathered at our Calgary headquarters for an evening of great food, conversation, and fundraising.

What began as a simple industry gathering has grown into something much bigger. The Pig Roast is an opportunity to connect with our community while supporting a cause that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families across Alberta.

The energy throughout the evening was incredible, with hundreds of guests taking part in fundraising activities, reconnecting with colleagues and friends, and helping create another memorable event.

New Challenges, Friendly Competition, and Fundraising Success

This year’s Pig Roast featured several interactive fundraising activities that kept guests engaged throughout the night.

One of the most popular attractions was the golf simulator challenge, where participants tested their skills, competed for bragging rights, and contributed to the fundraising effort with every swing.

Guests also embraced the blind wine challenge, putting their taste buds to the test while supporting a great cause. The challenge sparked plenty of discussion, laughter, and a little friendly debate as participants tried to identify each wine and earn top honours.

Combined with the silent auction, raffle, sponsorships, and direct donations, these activities helped push the event beyond the $85,000 fundraising milestone.

Supporting CP Kids & Families

Every dollar raised supports CP Kids & Families, a local organization that provides programs, services, resources, and adapted equipment for children and families living with cerebral palsy.

The generosity shown by everyone involved helps create opportunities for greater independence, inclusion, and support for families across Alberta.

Thank You

Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, bid in the silent auction, purchased raffle tickets, participated in the golf simulator and blind wine challenge, or helped behind the scenes. Every contribution played a role in making this year’s event such a success.

We are especially grateful to our employees, partners, suppliers, and volunteers whose time, effort, and generosity helped bring the event to life.

Looking Ahead

While we’re proud to have surpassed our fundraising goal, the real success of the Pig Roast is the community that continues to rally behind it year after year.

Together, we’ve proven once again that when people come together for a great cause, the impact extends far beyond a single evening.

Thank you for helping make the 2026 Westpower Charity Pig Roast our most successful event yet. We look forward to continuing this tradition and supporting CP Kids & Families for many years to come.
